Civic Initiatives Foundation (CIF)

Charitable Civic Initiatives Foundation (CIF) was founded in the framework of Eurasia Fund project aiming on developing NGOs' Resource centers and was registered on March the 7th , 2000.

Fund's mission is to support non-profit-making, social organization in fulfilling their programs. There goes a permanent work: we are accumulating NGOs' projects, looking for sponsors, controlling the execution of active grants by Voronezh NGOs, printing articles dedicated to NGO's in Voronezh newspapers, covering CIF's and partnering NGO's activity on local radiostations.

The Fund's purposes are: supporting non-governmental organizations (NGOs), developing citizens' initiatives which contribute to solving social-economic problems, formation of civil society. The Fund's aims are to sponsor and to assist NGOs and small and middle business, educational institutions, associations, organizations, companies and other institutions performing professional duties for NGOs.

Basic directions of the Fund's activity:

Assisting charity development in Voronezh Region, conducting philanthropic campaigns, carrying out educational missions aimed on rising the role of charity in the solving of region's social problems;

Accumulating means on the charitable base to render resourceful assistance to NGOs, to finance social-oriented projects and programs at the expense of its own and accumulated funds kept in banks and other financial organizations;

Helping to expand charity forms, developing and approbation of new models and methods of attracting philanthropic funds;

Purposeful financing of NGO's social-oriented programs on the competitive base etc.

The Foundation supports the following organizations:

V RUSSIAN UNION OF ART PHOTOGRAPHERS

"Parents of children suffering from bronchial asthma"

"Grace" (literary work of children from boarding schools)

"Russian soldiers' mothers"

Moreover, there was organized gratuitous transmission of medical equipment to Voronezh social association, dealing with Children's cerebral paralysis, Down Syndrome and other illnesses.

CIF incessantly accumulates funds and the main source of finance is the percentage allocations from the sums, transferred by donors. CIF has plenty of partners and contributory organizations, both commercial and non-commercial. We also receive valuable support from governmental organizations and local mass media.
